I have tried oem cartridges and they didn't last long. This cartridge is a genuine HP product that works great.
They have a wide selection of ink cartridges with a multitude of different brands. You'll be surprised what you come up with and the money you'll save. One good one I found (and use quite a bit) is 123inkjets. Hey.you want the song you heard on MT, you gotta buy the whole overpriced album. In the past color printers were something of a luxury, I can remember when a decent one sold for roughly $500.00 and consumers didn't mind paying $70.00 on additional ink cartridges. CDs full of filler with a couple decent songs selling for over $20.00 at the local mall. A hard lessoned learned for retailers who refuse to conform to the new, but still not a lesson completely understood by the good people selling us our ink cartridges. There is absolutely no excuse for the inflated prices of these tiny plastic containers, filled with approximately 15ML of ink, other than to overcharge the consumer and make a huge (and unfair) profit. With the help of my closest companion, the Internet, I have discovered many websites that offer generic brands of ink cartridges (that print just as good I might add) at a almost half the price as these so called "premium brands".
I urge anyone who is as outraged as I am at the prices of these ink cartridges to do a quick search on any Internet search engine for "cheap ink cartridges". The only thing is, this isn't the past.Today printers are as common in households as a standard definition television set, so why is it the price of ink hasn't dropped. This situation sort of echoes memories of the way the music industry was once run. Take it or leave it, what other choice do you have.Well, we all know how that ended up. Well, in my cynical opinion the manufacturer has the consumer of something of a "take-it-or-leave-it" position. It seems that everywhere us consumers turn we're being overcharged for something and ink cartridges are no exception.
If you want to print documents you need ink, you need ink you have to get a cartridge that is compatible with your printer, and to do that you have to buy what is offered from the manufacturer. People today download music for either free or for less than a dollar a song as the ways of old have died out, driving local music stores out of malls across the country.
We're talking about an ink cartridge here, not an impossible to program VCR. This product is what it is. I do like the attempt at quick delivery on HP products.
It never chokes. the printer I use these cartridges with -- HP Deskjet 6980 -- is by far and away the best inkjet printer I've ever used. I bought this ink cartridge online and was pleased with how rapidly it arrived and how inexpensive the shipping was. Much better deal than buying it at Office Depot/Max/Whathaveyou.FWIW. It's a wireless printer that I use on a mixed Linux-Windows home network.
jfsquillace The order came very quickly and accurately. All my experiences at Amazon have been good. This was directed to Databazaar. Service was great.
